Linda Tobin was practicing Feng Shui without even realizing it. This Hudson Wisconsin home stager had been staging homes in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the metro Minnesota area for a number of years. Her background included the ASPM (Accredited Staging Professional Manager) and training with nationally-famous stager Barb Schwarz in Concord, California. The skills and techniques she used helped her to prepare homes for selling. But Barb always new when her work with a property was done; she would get “goosebumps” when she would stand back and take a look at her work. Later, a Feng Shui instructor told her that the “goosebumps” was her intuitive way of knowing that a room has the proper Feng Shui qualities. Linda was practicing Feng Shui without even knowing it.
LInda discovered her home staging talents by accident. While helping one of her real estate clients prepare a home for sale, she discovered the seller’s daughter’s doll house buried under a pile of rubble in a closet. She pulled it out and staged the rooms in the doll house. The mother was concerned that the child would be upset because the was unusually sensitive to change. to everyone’s surprise, the daughter was so excited and pleased, that she wanted to take pictures of Linda’s staging to her “show and tell” time at school.
